    Hi,
I’m writing for my class of Grade 1 students (7yrs) who’d love to make a connection with your class. We have a blog too but it’s not as good as yours because our children have less access to technology!
If we could time it right we’d love to skype you too but if that’s not possible we could share video answers to some questions we have.
We are an international school (but we all speak English) in Belgrade, Serbia.
We hope to hear from you soon.

    Hi Susan,
    Thanks for your comment.
I checked a world time converter and I don’t think we are ever at school at the same time to Skype!
I don’t know much about life in Serbia and my students don’t either. We’d love to hear your questions and if you want to post them on your blog we will check them out and respond.
    From,
    Miss McGeady

Dear 2KM, I have been very lucky to have visited many places in the World. My favourite place is Paris in France. It is a very old city with magnificent buildings and lots of history. Perhaps you could search for it on Sophie’s Globe of the World. Keep up the good work and I look forward to reading your Blogs. From Sophie’s Granny

    Dear Zoe and 2KM,
Here I am, at the computer, enjoying reading your blogs. I am pleased to see that you have learned a lot about the states of Australia and where their borders lie.
I was wondering if anyone knows which was the first Australian state to be settled by the English and why the colony was established there.
    Zoe’s Nanny

  15. By: Zoe on May 6, 2010 at 9:29 am

    Dear Nanny,

    Thanks for the comment! :)
I know where they first came to. It was Botany Bay, it is near Sydney in N.S.W.
I don’t know why they came to Botany Bay first. Do you know why, Nanny?

    From your granddaughter,
    Zoe :)

P.S. Did you know Aboriginals were the first people on Australia?

  16. By: John Murrells on May 6, 2010 at 7:34 pm

    Dear Zoe,
I am really pleased to see how quickly you were able to answer my question and how clever of you to ask me a question in return!
The first settlers needed a safe harbour to moor their ships and a good supply of fresh water (for drinking) and Botany Bay was perfect in both respects.
I did know that the first people of Australia were the aborigines, but thank you for reminding me.
Take good care to spoil Mummy on Sunday.
    Love Nanny.

HI Charlotte and all of your friends @ 2KM
I am sorry it has taken me a while to post a comment. But today I looked at your classroom.
It was so good to see where you spend your time each day because I don’t live close to you, I probably would never have been able to see it! What a great idea. I congratulate your Teacher.

You look great in your School uniform.
Can you say “Aboriginal” properly yet?
I hope that your name is on the Birthday Balloons as it is less than 1 month now for your Birthday.
Say hello to all your friends for me. I hope we will see you soon.
    Love Grandma & Grandpa

    Hello Miss McGeady.
Thank you for the tips how to blog on your class’ page. I certainly don’t want to offend anyone. I think it’s really neat how your teaching and encouraging people at such a young age to blog and feel comfortable with current, technological ways of communicating.

  32. By: Kathleen McGeady on June 17, 2010 at 4:51 pm

    @ Pauline,
Thanks for you comment! I’m so glad you enjoyed the tips. You certainly won’t offend anyone. We encourage anyone and everyone to just have a go! Blogging is so much fun.

It looks like Zoe was the best person to taste the sherbet ingredients I can tell just by looking at the expression on her face that she does not like bi carb or citruc acid but LOVES icing sugar!!
    Cheers Mel

  34. By: Rhiannon! on August 13, 2010 at 12:42 pm

    Dear Mel,

    Thank’s for your comment!
You can tell Zoe looked like the sherbet was sour! Yes I think Zoe might like the iceing more than the bi carb soda and ciruc acaid!

Now I have some questions for you,
    Have you tried Sherbet before?
    Did it work out good?
    Did it tast good?

    From,
    Rhi♦nnon
